The Mail Room Assistant is responsible for a variety of office support functions.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
Mailroom Functions:
- Pick up the mail from the Post Office.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail.
- Pick up outgoing mail and process it through the mail machine.
- Process items through the folder/inserter machine.
- Pick up and deliver interoffice mail.
- Responsible for keeping the mail room clean and organized.
- Run company errands as needed.
- Assist with all functions in Corporate Services.
- Various tasks and projects as requested.
Required Skills
- Experience with office equipment
- Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Must be able to lift 40 or more pounds
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with deadlines
- Good problem solving skills
- Must be able to handle a fast paced environment and still maintain a high level of accuracy
Required Experience
1 - 2 years office experience in a similar role.
