The Ultrasound Technician performs procedures on patient using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images for interpretation. This position reports to the Clinic Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs all ultrasound imaging procedures accurately, safely and timely according to physician orders.
- Sets up and adjust all equipment and manually maneuvers transducers to perform exams.
- Perform diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices.
- Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgement of patient's understanding and address any questions or concerns.
- Maintains film and report tracking system, making films available to physicians.
- Assists in maintaining a clan, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
- Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of two-year course of study at an accredited school of radiological technology required.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current CPR certification
- Good organization and communication skills.
- Must have the ability to work in a team and individually if required.
- Customer service experience in an environment with significant and frequent opportunities to effectively resolve problems and conflict situations.
