The Nantahala Outdoor Center is seeking a Network / Desktop Administrator who will be responsible for the maintenance and end-to-end support of the network servers, backbone, and desktop / laptop computers. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals along with reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating information technology systems operations.s and disciplines and they demonstrate a commitment to the service of others. Job Summary: NOC is looking for an intern to join our Marketing and Operations team. This position is between 30 - 40 hours/week. The position will run from early June through mid-August. Applicants should be self-starting, motivated and willing to take responsibility. This position will work individually as well as on a small team. Responsibilities Operations/Information Technology Assist with deploying workstations in a corporate environment Assist with basic trouble shooting tasks for wireless, printers, IP phones, and networking issues. Assist on Help Desk to provide employee user support for Email, MS Office applications, and otherend user applications Physical Inventory tasks for both deployed and non-deployed equipment assets at multiple sites Travel to remote office locations to provide general IT support to workstations and wireless systems Assist in creating network diagrams and operational procedures for a corporate networking environment Marketing Act as a representative of the marketing team and a liaison between onsite operations Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of onsite signage, including rotating creative, requesting additional assets and filling special requests In conjunction with NOCs graphic designer, operate 2 onsite large format printers Work with the operations team to monitor and deliver insights on customer surveys and reviews Monitor online reviews, providing operations departments with timely and relevant feedback Additional marketing and sales related tasks, including but not limited to competitor research, customer experience projects, media projects, etc. Qualifications Must be a current college student that requires an internship as part of their collegiate program - supporting documentation required Successfully completed a minimum of 3 years of coursework in Information Technology; familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures Ability to troubleshoot common issues Strong attention to detail Detail oriented with strong analytical & organizational skills Ability to prioritize work in an efficient manner Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral & written) skills Desire to learn and be challenged Familiarity with office equipment Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and various Windows operating systems.
