The shift for this position will be 11:00PM 7:30AM, working Sunday Friday. So what will you actually be doing? The purpose of this position is to support the day-to-day Quality Control requirements in support of the Quality Management System. A Quality Inspection Clerks daily tasks will involve: * Demonstrated understanding of all facility policies relate to security, privacy, safety and general work practices * Demonstrated understanding of all quality procedures * Understands safety policies and demonstrates safe work practices at all times. * Actively monitor product for conformity based on Job Specific Work Instructions and Control Plans. * Actively monitor print, insert, and product quality: * Identify categories of non-conformances specific to print * Identify categories of non-conformances specific to inserting * Identify categories of non-conformances specific to mail * Actively follow job quality through the end-to-end production flow of mail and print-on-demand products. * Basic understanding of mail handling and metering processes * Communicate identified non-conformances to the designated authority and escalate if necessary. Participate in problem resolution, where appropriate. * Develop and understanding of the manufacturing equipment through training and awareness. Monitor equipment for defects and report to management. * Conduct proofreading and proof documents for release during product testing phases. * Document non-conformances using prescribed forms and procedures. * Balance (verify count) jobs by cross-referencing serial codes and performing basic mathematical calculations. * Record and verify work hours daily in the payroll system via time clock * Participate fully in non-conformance investigations initiated by the corrective action process. * Assist in the development of procedures, work instructions, and quality system documents. * Participate in team and operations meetings as requested. * Cross train in related disciplines to develop transferable skills * Report all safety incidents, injuries and near misses immediately * Report any potential violations of security or privacy rules * This job requires a high level of attention to detail and ability to stay focused in a dynamic environment. The following is required: * Keyboarding and windows environment PC skills required (Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred) * High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required * Minimum of 6 months customer service related experience * 1 2 years Quality Audit experience preferred. * 2 5 years production related experience preferred. * Experience ISO9001 preferred. * Experience Lean Management preferred. * Must possess the ability to read and understand written documents as they pertain to the Quality Management System. * General PC experience required. * Basic math skills; add, subtract, multiply and divide * Possess the ability to use various measuring tools and templates * Effective communication skills. * Demonstrated skill with problem solving and resolution required. * Lift items weighing up to 50 pounds or maximum allowed by State Law, with or without accommodation. * Must be able to stand for long periods of time with or without accommodation, to inspect quality issues at various work stations within the plant. * Must be able to walk throughout the work shift to inspect quality issues at various work stations within the plant.
