The shift for this position will be 9:30AM- 4:00PM, working Monday Friday. So what will you actually be doing? With a strong attention to detail, they will work under & alongside their Team Lead by performing day to day functions and help to create a strong team environment by assisting associates. A CSA for a Mail Services position is responsible for, but not limited to, sorting, scanning, and data entry on packages accurately going to the students. This will also include lifting bags or tubs of mail, data entry, processing daily mail metering, working with mail production projects, and other tasks as requested by Team Lead and/or Manager and internal customers. The primary responsibility is to perform the sorting, scanning and data entry on packages for CPO. This position will also prepare outgoing interoffice mail to other departments, do the daily mail processes, do the clean-up and mail preparation of all address data files, and work with all mail services employees. This position should also be cross-trained for covering S/R as needed. This position is a critical point for serving students and staff regarding packages for ORU. The secondary responsibilities include the following: Answer phones and any questions or information needed by the internal customer about their mail and postal requirements This position will communicate status reports via email. Will need to be able to lift bags and tubs of mail Input mail data for reports. Assist team lead in preparing reports that are accurate and on time. Research mail pieces as needed. Tracks return mail. Cross-train for positions in other departments. Will need to fill in for multiple areas (S/R, and Campus Post Office). S/R requires the person to answer the phone, and make package deliveries that might require going up and down stairs with packages. At CPO, this person would insert student mail into the appropriate mail boxes. This is a fine sort so the label and piece of mail match before the inserting takes place. This person will need to operate transactions in a blackboard register Navigating the web for postal prices and will need to learn how to ship packages via FedEx. A Mail Clerk´s daily tasks will involve: * Perform various Mail Center activities (sorting, metering, folding, inserting, delivery, pickup, etc.) * Lift heavy boxes, files or paper when needed, which may be up to 55lbs. * Create visitor and guest badges * Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude * Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume, production environment * Consistently adhere to all business and safety procedure guidelines * Take direction from supervisor or site manager * Maintain all logs and reporting documentation; attention to detail * Participate in cross-training (Filing, outgoing shipments, etc.) * Operating mailing, copy or scanning equipment * Shipping & Receiving * Handle time-sensitive material (i.e. confidential, urgent packages) * Create and ship files * Provide backfill when needed * Enter information daily into spreadsheets * Identify charges and match them to billing * Sort and deliver mail, small packages * Perform other tasks as assigned OK, I'm interested...
