The Senior Financial Analyst position is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full FP&A support to the Corporate Finance team. The Senior Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for financial reporting and data analytics, with an advanced ability to analyze data, highlight key insights, and recommend actions to key stakeholders. This includes analyzing, researching, and preparing financial information and reports to meet specific daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines. This role will work closely with internal business partners and have frequent exposure to Corporate CFO-level leadership. The Senior Financial Analyst should be comfortable building strong relationships, asking questions, and presenting analysis and insights.
Key Responsibilities
• Understand Corporate Finance business needs and translate those needs into specific analytics requirements
• Extract, cleanse, and manipulate large data from multiple data sources into standardized reporting structures
• Seek out new challenges and improvement opportunities, with the ability to learn and implement new technologies and platforms
• Maintain extreme attention to detail and accuracy; plan, prioritize, and organize tasks effectively
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve optimal performance and results
• Communicate effectively by clarifying assumptions, ensuring accurate information transfer, and providing appropriate updates
• Explain technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Apply logical reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions and approaches to complex problems
• Work independently by establishing strategic objectives, project plans, and milestone goals
• Engage directly with executive management, finance, operations, and other stakeholders as needed
• Multi-task effectively in a fast-paced work environment
• Collaborate as a contributing team member on all tasks
• Keep leadership informed and escalate issues or risks when appropriate
• Maintain stable performance under pressure, adapting to uncertainty, change, and demand increases
• Facilitate development of others’ knowledge and skills, offering timely feedback and guidance
• Develop and manage overall company budgets, forecasting, and variance analysis related to asset and expense management
• Provide budget, forecast, and variance analysis for divisions, departments, companies, branches, business units, and corporate-level reporting
• Develop cost-benefit analyses, business plans, ROI analysis, and other ad hoc analyses for cost reduction projects and opportunities
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes, including emerging AI tools
• Identify gaps, deficiencies, cost savings, and efficiency opportunities related to asset and expense management

Metrics
• Meet or exceed expense ratios and EBITDA results
• Meet deadlines and objectives as defined in quarterly reviews or project plans
• Manage ongoing projects and day-to-day requirements not listed in formal monthly objectives
Knowledge & Skills Required
• Expertise in MS Excel, including advanced formula creation/debugging, look-ups, power queries, advanced charting, and pivot tables
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence and data visualization tools (SSRS, Business Objects, Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, etc.)
• Strong understanding of accounting theory and GAAP; ability to apply accounting principles
• Strong analytical, management, and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to recognize opportunities and demonstrate high work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to multi-task and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to adopt new and emerging analytics tools, including AI
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3–5 years of directly related experience with demonstrated professional capability
• Financial statement acumen preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• None required; CPA, CMA, or CFA is a plus
Compensation & Bonus
The recruiting base pay scale for this full-time position is $110,000–$140,000 per year.
Within the base pay scale, individual compensation is determined by job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Eligible for a yearly discretionary company bonus based on overall company performance.
Work Schedule
This exempt position requires a work schedule based on deadlines, workload, and project status. Typical operating hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Refer to the employee handbook for attendance policies and exceptions.
