    Customer Service Representative Salary $14.55 Hourly Location Mesa, AZ Job Type Full-Time Department Gateway Aviation Services/Fixed Based Operator Job Number 00280 Closing 1/20/2019 11:59 PM Arizona Duties and Responsibilities The Customer Service Representative participates in the functioning and operation of Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority (Gateway) owned fixed base operator (FBO) Gateway Aviation Services business office by performing essential and varied clerical, administrative, customer service, line service, reporting, and staff assistance activities that are integral to providing safe, efficient, and high quality support to aircrews, passengers, airport tenants, and others using airport facilities. Duties include: responding and coordinating, as appropriate, with staff regarding requirements, requests, and information inquiries, of flight crews, airport staff, customers, and the general public; providing support and backup relief for Administrative Specialist functions as necessary; providing quality customer service; arranging transportation, hotel, and catering and related service requirements for flight crews, passengers, visitors, airport staff, and the general public; greeting and organizing aircraft and their flight crews and passengers and, when necessary, records service orders, assists with boarding and deplaning, and takes other appropriate actions to ensure order requirements are completed satisfactorily; completing, recording, and transmitting sales transactions, including those for cash, check, credit, and subsequent billing; and preparing daily sales and information reports by entering data into appropriate financial management computer programs and cross checking it with related data to confirm the accuracy of information. The Customer Service Representative also participates in the order and sale of Gateway Aviation Services merchandise; completes required initial and annual recurrent training programs pertinent to international waste handling, dangerous goods handling, specified first aid procedures, and other airport required subjects; maintains the condition and appearance of the Gateway Aviation Services business office, conference, and flight planning room, and arranges for the purchase of essential office and operating supplies; maintains Gateway Aviation Services business files and prepares periodic reports; announces and records data pertinent to airport alerts and other emergency situations; distributes mail and interoffice communications; coordinates with vendors and other service providers to arrange and/or determine special rates for Gateway Aviation Services customers. Work is reviewed through results achieved, meetings, occasional spot checks of work in progress, and an evaluation of results achieved. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualification(s) Required: High School diploma or GED. Up to one (1) year of prior administrative/clerical experience or customer service experience in an aviation or hospitality industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred/Desirable Qualification(s): Sales associate experience in high end retail, vehicles, banking or an associated industry. Intermediate-level experience in word processing (MS Word) and spreadsheet software (MS Excel) for Windows-based programs.
