    GUEST ROOM ATTENDANT

As a GUEST ROOM ATTENDANT, you will perform any combination of light cleaning duties to maintain hotel guest rooms in a clean and orderly manner. Duties may include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls and vacuuming.

    Required Skills

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.
    • Clean guest rooms, hallways, restrooms, and other assigned areas so that customer service and health standards are met.
    • Empty wastebaskets, separate recyclables and transport trash and waste to disposal areas.
    • Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items.
    • Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
    • Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
    • Maintain proper usage and storage of chemicals.
    • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and shampooers.
    • Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.
    • Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.
    • Wash coffee pots and restock coffee amenities.
    • Report guest room maintenance needs.
    • Complete basic paperwork such as room assignment sheets.
    • Restock guest room amenities such as bar soap and shampoo bottles.
    • Dust television sets and organize other room items such as ironing boards and writing materials.
    • Move and arrange furniture as needed and turn mattresses.
    • Represent the Foundation in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner in all guest and team member interactions.
    • Follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling chemicals and equipment.
    • Work in an efficient manner adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
