Job description:
- Lead and deliver moderate to complex, high-visibility, enterprise-level projects concurrently, ensuring completion on time, within scope, and within budget while driving measurable business value.
- Serve as a strategic partner and liaison between Enterprise Agility, Credit Union business units, vendors, executives, and stakeholders to align project outcomes with organizational goals and member impact.
- Determine and apply the appropriate project methodology (Agile, traditional, or hybrid), establish clear expectations for scope, milestones, and timelines, and ensure seamless transition from implementation to operations.
- Direct and hold internal and external resources accountable, manage team and stakeholder engagement, and provide regular updates to Executive Management, Sponsors, and key stakeholders.
- Support vendor due diligence, contract negotiations, project sizing, and capacity planning (WIP limits) to effectively prioritize and advance initiatives from the project pipeline.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate complex risks and issues using strong technical acumen; facilitate workshops, guide testing and deployment plans, and develop communication, training, and transition strategies.
- Promote continuous improvement by adapting best practices, mentoring project managers and team members, maintaining knowledge of industry trends and regulatory requirements, and completing required compliance and information security training.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, engineering, or finance-related (or equivalent work experience)
- Must have (5)+ years of project management with cross-functional systems and application teams
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to review data from multiple sources and make sound business recommendations.
- Experience using Portfolio Project Management (PPM) tools and working in both Waterfall and Agile environments; proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, MS Project, and Visio.
- PMP or CAPM certification required.
- Experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies in enterprise-level application development projects; PMI-ACP, CSM, CSPO, CAL, or similar certification preferred.
- Solid understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with credit union systems and software applications needed to perform job responsibilities.
