JOB SUMMARY: The Customer Service Representative works closely with the team members regarding all customer related matters. These include, but are not limited to, providing order status to customers and contacting suppliers to improve delivery dates. As the Customer Service Representative gains experience and becomes more efficient, they may also assist with management of non-conforming material and customer RMAs. JOB DUTIES: * Receives and responds to customer requests for order status in a timely and professional manner.

    • Works from computerized customer and supplier purchase order information to determine the availability of parts. * Expedites via telephone contact and/or direct on-line computer access the on-time delivery of parts in accordance with RESCO purchase order requirements.
    • Notifies salesperson of any problems in meeting order requirements. Works with Purchasing and Sales personnel to identify and take appropriate action to resolve problems. * Prepares a variety of computer generated reports. * Maintains work area and files in a neat and orderly manner. * Performs such additional responsibilities as directed or required. Education and experience requirements include: * High school graduate with good math and excellent communication skills both verbal and written, plus 6 to 12 months of prior experience working in a customer service environment preferably within the electronics industry or offsetting combinations of education and experience. * Computer literacy is required - especially strong Excel skills. Position will be based at 1100 Wicomico Street, Baltimore, MD 21230. This is a full time position from 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
