The NAVSEA Acquisition Management Support Senior Manager will directly manage and oversee DOD Acquisition efforts for Special Mission for the DOD/Navy program, industry or government business management in Washington, DC, or a fleet concentration area. The Senior Manager shall be familiar with DoD and Navy policies that relate to defense acquisition and be able to employ the latest guidance to execute tasking in accordance with these policies. He/She shall assist in development, maintenance, and preparation of briefings; attend meetings and prepare minutes; and research and prepare responses to action items. Examples are, but are not limited to, the following:

• Quarterly Program and/or Progress Reviews (QPRs)
• Milestone Reviews, Gate Reviews, or Resources and Requirements Review Board (R3B).
• Shipbuilder Program Reviews, including Post-Award Conferences and logistics meetings.
• Foreign Customer Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and Financial Management Reviews (FMRs). The Senior Manager will routinely communicate with SES/Flag level personnel on matters related to DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process); DoD/DoN contracting; and the development of DoN acquisition document (e.g., Acquisition Strategy, Acquisition Program Baseline.

Required Skills

• Extensive communication skills communicating with Flag/SES level personnel.
• Outstanding Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management discipline.
• ACTIVE DOD SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED

Required Experience

• DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process)
• DoD/DoN contracting
• Experience communicating with SES/Flag level personnel
• Development of DoN acquisition document (e.g., Acquisition Strategy, Acquisition Program Baseline)
• Ship building experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management discipline
• 15+ years program management,  Government technical management, or Industry  business management, with 7+ years in DoD/DoN program, contracts, or acquisition management

 Desired: Project Management Professional (PMP) for 10 years
