    The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate processing, recording, and reporting of employee earnings, statutory withholdings, garnishments, and benefit deductions. This role supports a weekly, multi-state payroll environment that requires precision, strong time management, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑accountability setting. This position is ideal for a payroll professional who enjoys ownership, problem‑solving, and delivering results under tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and service.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Process weekly, multi‑state payroll accurately and in compliance with company policies and regulations
    • Maintain and update employee payroll records including new hires, terminations, transfers, and compensation changes
    • Review, audit, and validate timekeeping and timesheet data prior to payroll processing
    • Administer payroll deductions including benefits, garnishments, retirement contributions, and statutory taxes
    • Ensure continuous compliance with federal, state, and local wage and tax laws
    • Generate payroll reports, reconciliation files, and audit documentation
    • Partner with HR and Finance to reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
    • Respond to employee payroll‑related inquiries with professionalism and accuracy
    • Maintain detailed payroll reconciliations to support financial reporting
    • Support year‑end payroll processes including W‑2 preparation, tax filings, and external audits
    • Provide guidance and training to managers on payroll and time & attendance systems
    • Uphold strict confidentiality and data security standards
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Metrics
    • Achievement of established payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance objectives
    • Ability to manage unplanned payroll issues and urgent requests effectively
    • Consistent on‑time completion of weekly payroll cycles
    • Responsiveness to internal payroll inquiries and issue resolution

    Qualifications
    • Minimum of five years of payroll‑related experience
    • Demonstrated success working in a weekly payroll environment
    • Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven setting with high volume and complexity

    Knowledge & Skills Required
    • Prior multi‑state or high‑volume payroll processing experience
    • In‑depth knowledge of ADP Workforce Now (WFN), Enhanced Time & Attendance, and E‑Time
    • Strong working knowledge of payroll and payroll tax laws
    Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required , including formulas, data validation, reconciliation tools, and reporting
    • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent time management and multi‑tasking abilities
    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

    Education & Experience
    • Associate Degree in Accounting or equivalent from a two‑year college
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

    Compensation
    The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000–$90,000 annually.
    Within the base pay range, individual compensation is determined by job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

    This role is eligible for a discretionary bonus program , based on overall company results.

    Work Schedule
    Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Due to the weekly payroll cycle, flexibility and reliability are essential. Refer to the employee handbook for attendance and time‑off policies.

  • Qualifications
    • Requires strong knowledge of PC / Network communications hardware / software, in a multi-protocol environment and network management software
    • Preferred Skills:
    • Understanding of IP addresses, subnets, and gateways
    • Basic commands to trouble shoot network issues on client computers
    • Experience in network connectivity to VOIP phones and client machines
    • Experience in troubleshooting and understanding of basic WIFI connectivity
