    Overview

    We are looking for an energetic and passionate Plant Controller to join our team. This is very much a strategic role. Information and reporting are just the tip of the iceberg.     The Plant Controller will be responsible for their respective plant full P&L and Balance sheet. This individual will oversee all accounting functions for the plant and will serve as a finance business partner to the Plant Management by identifying financial and operational risks as well as opportunities. Finance business partners provide targeted strategic insights across every department of a business.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor, analyze, and report monthly actual results against the budget or forecast
    • Business partner for Operations, Engineering, and other relevant functional leaders.
    • Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment and proposes, justifies, initiates, and implements change.
    • Uses analytical skills beyond the traditional functions of finance and brings a broad range of insight on commercial issues.
    • Responsible for Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end transactions and activities (Closing, budgets, forecasts, estimates)
    • Establishes annual budgets and quarterly forecasts with input from the plant management team.
    • Validates and reviews lean savings, labor and resource planning, capital spending, sales, and inventory spending.
    • Responsible for all transactions represented in ERP systems.
    • Responsible for implementing and monitoring financial controls (policy & procedures and internal controls)
    • Own the Account reconciliation process and maintain the integrity of plant GL and its supporting systems.
    • Ensure ongoing proper transactions and controls are in place in the facility so that accurate costing and profit analysis can be performed.
    • Drive the site to meet or exceed all annual financial metrics
    • Perform frequent walk-throughs of the manufacturing site with the plant manager to address production and costing issues.
    • Support plant leadership in establishing and implementing short and long-range department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.

    Requirements

    • Five years of Accounting/Finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Providing leadership to organizations within a manufacturing operation(s)leading operation planning, savings, forecasting, and investment analysis.
    • Provide guidance on contracts, terms, and profitability.
    • Significant ERP experience required with implementation experience a strong plus
    • Delivering continuous improvement.
    • Participating in the development of strategic plans.
    • Assisting in negotiating, developing, and evaluating customer and supplier contracts.
    • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated analytical ability accompanied by knowledge of corporate finance and manufacturing.
