    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Service Repair Specialist is a key role responsible for generating prompt and detailed repair proposals based on findings from HVAC and BAS service technicians during service calls or preventative maintenance visits at our contract customer sites. This position requires close collaboration with dispatch, service technicians, supervisors, and account managers to streamline the proposal process and support sales initiatives.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Review and analyze reports from HVAC technicians on equipment issues identified during service calls or preventative maintenance visits.
    • Develop thorough repair proposals, including detailed descriptions of recommended repairs, labor requirements, and timelines.
    • Research part pricing, availability, and sourcing options from suppliers to ensure accurate and competitive quoting.
    • Maintain awareness of alternative parts or solutions when supply chain issues arise.
    • Work with service technicians and supervisors to gather technical details and validate repair scopes for accuracy.
    • Follow up on outstanding proposals and communicate status updates internally and externally as needed.
    • Maintain accurate records of proposals, approvals, and outcomes in the company's CRM or proposal management system.
    • Monitor proposal status and follow up with customers to address questions and secure approvals.
    • Ensure all proposals comply with company standards, safety regulations, and contract terms.
    • Partner with Account Managers to assist in teaming efforts for large repairs and project sales, contributing to commission-earning opportunities.
    • Parts and equipment procurement and tracking to ensure timely repairs
    • Close collaboration with dispatch and service supervisors to prioritize urgent repairs and coordinate follow-up actions and repair scheduling.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, technical field, or related area preferred.
    • 2+ years of experience in customer service, sales support, or technical role within the HVAC industry.
    • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including equipment repairs, labor estimating, and parts sourcing.
    • Proficiency in researching pricing and availability through supplier databases and industry tools.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and customers.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple proposals with attention to detail and deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel) and familiarity with CRM software.
    • Self-motivated with a team-oriented mindset and a drive to contribute to sales goals and to maintain profitability standards.
    • Valid driver's license may be required for occasional site visits.

    COMPENSATION

    • Starting Salary Range based on experience: $75,000 - $85,000 + Auto Allowance + Commission
    • Commission incentives for successful contributions to large repairs and project sales in partnership with account managers. Annual Commission Potential: $5K - $25K
    • Total Compensation - Year 1: Up to $118,000/year
