    OVERVIEW:

     

    Our client, a well-established refuse and recycling collection company, seeks an accomplished ASSISTANT APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING MANAGER.

    *** Duration: PERMANENT / FULLTIME

     

    DESCRIPTION:

    · Candidate will help oversee and ensure all operational customer information management system disciplines (including programming, development, debugging, testing, training and implementation) are executed in an efficient and economical manner by providing leadership and guidance to all team members.

    · Will plan and develop procedures to improve the quality, efficiency and operation of the product.

    · Manage the ongoing product development and maintenance project, including business analysis, application performance analysis, scope management, schedules, budgets, quality management, human resource, status reporting and communications, risk management, configuration management, system integration, and procurement management.

    · Direct training functions for divisions. Manage and direct related help desk support. Evaluate and oversee application revisions encompassing design, development, testing and implementation.

    · Participate in application conversion and rollout to newly acquired business units and/or existing business units.

    · Conducts annual performance evaluations. Experience managing and developing a team.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    · Experience in managing applications software development and support.

    · Certified Software Project Manager (CSPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.

    · Strong knowledge of the recycling and waste hauling industry – preferred.

    · PC skills are required with a solid working knowledge of MS-Word PowerPoint and Visio.

    · Advanced MS Excel skills and certification are required.

    · High proficiency in working with MSSQL and relational databases.

    · Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and higher.
