The Junior Scientist will be performing a variety of duties in a laboratory setting and must be comfortable with working third shift. Work weeks will be between 40-44 hours.
- Perform instrument calibrations
- Perform verifications and troubleshoot equipment to ensure the quality system requirements are met or exceeded
- Assist with identifying, controlling, and resolving product line quality issues
- Perform root cause analysis
- Ensure appropriate customer engagement
- Develop new concepts, techniques, standards, etc.
- Engage with executives to foster understanding and final approval
Basic Qualifications:
- Prior experience in various analytical instrumentation such as: balances, auto-titrators, LC’s, GC’s, IC’s, pH meters, refractometers, densitometers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift samples or equipment weighing 50 lbs.
- Ability to spend a majority of the day standing or climbing steps/ladders in a laboratory environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from an accredited university
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree from an accredited university
- Prior experience working in an ISO/GMP regulated manufacturing laboratory
- Prior experience with chromatography software
- LIMS experience
