The Junior Scientist will be performing a variety of duties in a laboratory setting and must be comfortable with working third shift. Work weeks will be between 40-44 hours.

• Perform instrument calibrations
• Perform verifications and troubleshoot equipment to ensure the quality system requirements are met or exceeded
• Assist with identifying, controlling, and resolving product line quality issues
• Perform root cause analysis
• Ensure appropriate customer engagement
• Develop new concepts, techniques, standards, etc.
• Engage with executives to foster understanding and final approval

Basic Qualifications:

• Prior experience in various analytical instrumentation such as: balances, auto-titrators, LC’s, GC’s, IC’s, pH meters, refractometers, densitometers
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift samples or equipment weighing 50 lbs.
• Ability to spend a majority of the day standing or climbing steps/ladders in a laboratory environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from an accredited university

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree from an accredited university
• Prior experience working in an ISO/GMP regulated manufacturing laboratory
• Prior experience with chromatography software
• LIMS experience
