  • Responsibilities

    The Configuration Manager will be responsible for executing configuration management procedures in a full software development lifecycle. Working within the software development team, the Configuration Manager manages the definition, development, maintenance and distribution of configuration management plans and procedures.

    • Develop and maintain software configuration management processes and procedures to ensure that configuration management controls are capable of supporting software development and deployment activities.
    • Utilize tools as defined for the account and apply them to project activities. This includes managing the code environment (multiple versions of code across environments), code and database schema branching, and managing the code merging process.
    • Develop configuration management plans, milestones and schedules for projects.
    • Evaluate existing system configurations and recommend infrastructure changes to improve or enhance performance and maintainability.
    • Participate in design and change reviews to enforce and ensure adherence to configuration procedures.
    • Participate in prototype reviews and development of policies and procedures.
    • Recommend and implement new procedures as appropriate.

     

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 4+years of software configuration management experience and software development experience in a .NET and Unix environment
    • Experience working with distributed computer systems, software and associated communication networks
    • Working knowledge of networking principles and local area networks
    • Experience with various configuration management tools to include: CVS, Microsoft Visual SourceSafe, Serena Version Manager, and TFS
    • Experience with configuration management practices in both an SDLC and Agile software development environment
    • Experience configuring and installing various operating systems and application software
    • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

     Preferred Qualifications:
