Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Participates in operations-based Kaizen events and improvement efforts * Observes processes and applies lean principals to develop and implement improvements with measurable benefits * Gathers and analyses data related to products and processes * Measures, documents and communicates improvements for lean activities * Utilizes A3 thinking to understand problems, develop solutions based on lean principles, drive implementation, and ensure sustainment. * Collaborates with others within operations to help them successfully use lean principals and sustain processes * Engages others by seeking their input and facilitating the creation of a process that is accepted by all stakeholders Minimum Requirements * Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior level working toward a BS in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering * A firm understanding of lean principles * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Familiarity with Kaizen activity * Familiarity with understanding product designs through CAD, assembly documentation or another method
