Role Overview

The Director of Operations will be in charge of the entire property and cannabis supply chain. This role will work closely with leadership and our Head Grower to ensure an efficient and effective cannabis operation.

This operation will conduct outdoor cultivation with rain cover but not full hoop houses due to environmental impact. We have the ability to scale to 1000+ hectares and will begin with hemp and transition into THC cannabis.

This scale combined with natural farming methods is our competitive advantage and the ideal candidate will have experience scaling operations that incorporate both of these elements. Have seed, CBD, and export licenses in hand, others pending.

Role Responsibilities

• Create operational SOPs and best practices from scratch
• Manage operations including staff, training, financials, inventory, compliance, distribution, and production reporting
• Create and relay reports showing inventory levels and supply chain tracking
• Work directly with Head Grower to ensure highest plant health
• Report any and all equipment, maintenance, and supply needs to leadership
• Create operations budgets and review with leadership
• Ensure foundation is laid correctly to scale and expand in the future

Role Qualifications

• Cannabis experience NOT required.
• Must be very mission driven – we will be 100% sustainable with a 10+ year mission. (this should be important to you because commitment to community is huge for them)
• Must be passionate about natural cultivation and production methodologies
• Must be willing to learn Spanish
• 5+ years of cannabis operations experience OR Agriculture degree w/3+ years of operations experience
• Must have strong management experience - will be overseeing large 30+ person team
• Must have experience establishing and scaling production environments - ideally ag, food/bev, chemical, or other related field
