    HR Manager

    Our client is positioned to become the premier provider of award-winning, top-shelf cannabis flowers and concentrates to Oklahoma’s new & emerging medical cannabis market. The founders come with over 10 years of cannabis agriculture experience and have 10 of the most acclaimed and renowned awards in the industry. They are seeking an experience HR manager to build their team and culture in this exciting industry.

    What you will do

    • Plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate
    • Lead employees through their employment cycle: from the offer creation to onboarding to performance management, career growth, promotional opportunities, role transitions and beyond.
    • Manage talent acquisition team and work with the team to establish a set processes for sourcing quality candidates, interviewing, managing candidates throughout the process, tracking recruiting metrics, employee referrals and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
    • Participate in the development of the Company’s plans and programs as a strategic partner, with a focus on employee engagement and retention.
    • Partner with legal; be knowledgeable and stay current on employment and industry regulations
    • Be a key team-building leader and go-to resource for guidance on a range of personal and professional challenges and questions by building strong relationships across the organization and constantly seeking feedback from employees.
    • Work with all other departments to carry-out People Operations related projects, supporting our company values and culture.
    • Work with leadership teams to help drive people programs and strategies that enhance our culture as we expand into new markets and channels.
    • Build out company-wide performance review and goal-setting practices, so that team members are accountable for their own goals, career development and feedback.
    • Be responsible for setting high-level strategies and initiatives for the department around things such as compensation and benefits, culture and morale, employee relations, and compliance.
    • Develop appropriate policies and programs for effective management of the people resources for the company. Included in this area but not limited only to the following are programs for employee relations, affirmative action, sexual harassment, employee complaints, and career development.
    • Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, insurance benefits and workers compensation policies and employment best practices.
    • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items impact the attraction, motivation, development and retention of our talent.
    • Train new management on best practices, employment regulations, core responsibilities, performance management SOP
    • Stay informed on industry changes, trends and best practices while assessing the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes.
    • Work cross-functionally with Finance and Management team to plan staff budgeting, compensation changes, benefits planning and succession planning.
    • Develop and oversee programs to drive employee engagement, increase workforce productivity and assess training needs.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide HR expertise and implement HR programs such as talent management, coaching, learning and development, compensation, benefits, employee relations Proactively identify people-related needs and challenges; coach leaders on how to resolve complex people related matters while promoting a performance-based culture.
    • Consistently meet and exceed individual performance metrics

    What you’ll need to be successful in this role

    • 3 to 5+ years’ experience excelling in an HR leadership role in a fast-paced growth company.
    • PHR/SPHR Certification preferred
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
    • Knowledge of employment laws & best practices
    • Results-driven and a trusted partner; an individual who can proven outcomes and implement tactical and strategic solutions in a scaling environment.
    • Ability to successfully manage and motivate teams towards achieving departmental and organizational goals.
    • Experience in compensation and benefits, employee relations, manager training, talent acquisition, onboarding and performance management.
    • Experience and understanding of basic accounting principles and data entry
    • Experience with payroll processing and various systems
    • Ability to present HR stats, facts and recommendations effectively.
    • Sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize, analyze and resolve issues in an effective manner.
