    Job Summary: Production Manager

    The Production Manager will oversee all production, quality assurance, operations, training, safety awareness and personnel at the processing plant. The Production Manager will manage all production personnel including the extraction, post processing, and refinement teams to ensure consistent and safe processing at all times. This position includes significant administrative and regulatory compliance duties to ensure compliance with all policies and GMP standards.

     

    Physical and Environmental Requirements:

     

    Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day and rotating shifts.

    Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds

    Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a work day

    Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (farm is 2.7 miles of area)

    Ability to use a ladder (up to 12 ft. extension) and general hardware tools needed for common repairs

     

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing & operations environments

    Commercial laboratory experience is preferred

    Experience in managing a botanical extraction operation (solvent, distillation, crystallization, chromatography)

    Superior time management skills

    Exposure to a fast pace/deadline related environment is preferred

    Knowledge of management and organizational concepts, principles, and techniques with demonstrated professional assertiveness.

    Experience complying with cGMP standards

    Excellent critical thinking skills to be able to troubleshoot any issue with the processes and instrumentation.

    Strong math and computer skills, including ability to create and interpret data

    Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental protection, including considerations in engineering design, recommendations, and operability

    Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively communicate across the organization from top to bottom

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Manage the operation of high-throughput processing of cannabis through milling, extraction, filtration, solvent recovery, distillation, and crystallization of the resulting crude oil using multiple systems.

    Consistently achieve quality end products with repeatability

    Ensuring regulatory compliance, including safety, environmental and document control requirements.

    Ability to resolve any conflict respectfully and in a timely manner, addressing and resolving problems in order to create a culture of engagement and high-performance

    Ensuring equipment reliability throughout production process by overseeing maintenance and cleaning protocols

    Supports the organization by ensuring operational efficiency by implementing and constantly improving cost reduction strategies.

    Investigating all adverse events, errors and complaints; documenting investigations and determining the root cause.

    Ability and willingness to work in the following conditions:

     

    Exposure to pollen, allergens, and chemical pesticides on the farm. Extreme temperatures including sun, wind, rain, and cold. Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to: chemicals, fumes, dust, odors, extreme heat temperatures, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, noise, protective gear, vibrations, and water.
