    Job Summary: Greenhouse Zone Manager

    The Greenhouse Zone Manager will report to the Greenhouse manager and will be responsible for the production of high quality hemp genetics, seedlings, and smokable flower within their zone of the greenhouse.The Greenhouse Zone Manager will be responsible for the consistent, sanitary, and safe production of high quality hemp genetics, seedlings, and smokable flower. In addition to creating high high quality hemp genetics, seedlings, and smokable flower, the Greenhouse Zone Manager will assist with cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment, compliance tracking and record keeping, and all associated tasks.

    Manage Cultivation Technicians (Cultivation Tech’s)

     

    Preferred Skills and Education

     Bachelor degree in Horticulture, agriculture, or Botany

    Prior experience working in greenhouse or agricultural experience

    Prior customer service experience

     

    Physical and Environmental Requirements:

     

    Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day and rotating shifts.

    Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds

    Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a work day

    Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (farm is 2.7 miles of area)

    Ability to use a ladder (up to 12 ft. extension) and general hardware tools needed for common repairs

     

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    High school diploma or equivalent required

    Must be 21 years old

    Ability to obtain state agency card

    Possess the horticultural skills to provide proper plant health care

    Basic math skills

    Valid driver’s license and transportation

    Ability to operate standard office equipment

    Pass the cultivation technician tests and required onsite knowledge evaluation

    Good verbal and written communication skills, a minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing & operations environments

    Commercial laboratory experience is preferred

    Extensive hands on experience with the cultivation of hemp and cannabis

    Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental protection, including considerations in engineering design, recommendations, and operability

    Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team

    Ability to perform under pressure and work multiple projects concurrently

    Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, and ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with incomplete information and in the time required

    Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with management, technical and field personnel, as well as third parties

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Managing Watering

    Managing Soil mixing

    Managing Fertilizer mixing

    Managing Pruning

    Managing Trellising

    Managing Scouting

    Responsible for plant health

    Cleaning grow area

    Maintenance and monitoring of systemsSet up, operate, and tend to greenhouse process equipment according to SOPs

    Regular communication with the Greenhouse Manager to ensure all operational needs are met and any procedural problems are addressed and resolved proactively

    Perform all necessary equipment maintenance and safety checks in accordance with manufacturer specifications

    Ensure that the cultivation space is organized, clean, and sanitary throughout daily operations

    Use the tracking system to create, lock, track and modify tags for compliant transfer of product through the system

    Use critical thinking and deductive reasoning to identify and analyze problems, and come up with creative solution

    Exercise extreme caution and attention to detail in the laboratory

    Work collectively with other team members in a productive manner

    Stay up to date with cutting edge purification and distillation techniques

    Fully comply with outlined regulations at all times

    Ability and willingness to work in the following conditions:

     

    Exposure to pollen, allergens, and chemical pesticides on the farm. Extreme temperatures including sun, wind, rain, and cold. Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to: chemicals, fumes, dust, odors, extreme heat temperatures, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, noise, protective gear, vibrations, and water.
