  • Responsibilities

    The AP Accountant will be responsible for completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, in an accurate, efficient and timely manner for our client. This position is full-time and reports to the Assistant Controller.

    As the Payable Accountant you will...

      • Manage Accounts Payables by:
      • Reconciling vendor statements
      • Managing all correspondence with vendors
      • Posting all vendor invoices
      • Assisting Accounts Receivables bank and cash reconciliations
      • Managing vendor invoices approval process
      • Preparing and processing weekly check runs
      • Manage Monthly duties such as:
      • Reconciling prepaid and accrual accounts
      • Posting AP accruals
      • Managing credit cards (approvals, GL coding, and posting)
      • Manage Payroll processing by:
      • Reconciling employee garnishments
      • Assisting in posting G/L adjustments for payroll
      • Assist with additional duties such as:
      • Filing annual 1099
      • Filing annual property tax
      • Building the departments' payment process framework
      • Other duties as assigned

    What we're looking for...

      • Associates in Accounting/Finance is required; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
      • Must have 1-2 years of proven experience in an Accounts Payable position
      • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel)
      • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work is required
      • Must display strong interpersonal and (written/verbal) communication skills
      • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills required
