    Position Overview

    The Vice President of Finance serves as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team. This individual is responsible for the overall financial health of the organization, providing forward-looking insights, leading financial planning and analysis, and overseeing all accounting operations.

    This role blends strategic leadership with hands on operational oversight.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to support executive decision making
    • Develop and manage financial forecasts, annual budgets, and performance metrics
    • Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing, and reconciliations
    • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
    • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, borrowing, and lender compliance
    • Identify financial risks and implement controls to improve operational stability
    • Lead audit processes and maintain relationships with external auditors
    • Partner cross functionally to align financial strategy with operational execution
    • Evaluate insurance coverage and manage risk mitigation strategies
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum 6 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role with supervisory responsibility.
    • Strong background in finance and accounting within agriculture, manufacturing, or operationally intensive environments
    • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and strategic planning
    • Demonstrated leadership of accounting and finance teams
    • Experience managing lender relationships and compliance requirements
    • Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally NetSuite or comparable platforms
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into business insights

    Compensation: $170,000 – $180,000
