    Job Description

    SUMMARY: The Patient Care Coordinator is the Ambassador to the practice. It is the first person a patient sees and comes into contact with. The highest levels of professionalism and customer service are required at all times.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Greet Patients and smile as they arrive to our office
    • Operate an electronic medical system to check-in and check-out patients using high accuracy in data entry
    •  Verify insurance for patients using the established process
    • Answer inner-office phone calls or direct them as needed
    • Dispense contact lenses to patients
    •  Follow procedures for closing the office each night
    • Keep the reception areas neat and clean at all times
    • Continually assist in any way possible to improve the patient experience
    • Be available to assist other departments as needed
    • All other duties as assigned by Manager

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • High School diploma or GED, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Prior experience in the medical field is not required, but recommended
    • Ability to speak, write and read fluent English. Bilingual language proficiency is very encouraged, but not required
    • Moderate proficiency in data entry, internet use, spreadsheets and word processing

    Additional Information

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

    • Able to be mobile and work various positions (standing, sitting, bending, and walking) for extended periods of time during an 8-hour period.
