  • Responsibilities

    Wilson & Company is currently seeking a Utility Inspector Coordinator who will be responsible for the monitoring of the installation of utilities across railroad property throughout the Pacific Northwest. This is an Independent Contractor opportunity.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Coordinate with the Field Operations Manager on schedule and location of projects.
    • Must be able to be a good communicator and safety-conscious.
    • Must learn and follow railroad safety criteria and policies.
    • Must know how to scale and measure distances.
    • Must obtain measurements and report progress information and place on an Inspector's Daily Report (IDR).
    • Becomes thoroughly familiar with the plans and specifications for the job to be inspected.
    • Must be able to follow and carry out specific instructions on an independent basis and oversee/review the work of others on-site.
    • Pre-employment drug screening is required.
    • Must locate to the project sites. Travel is required.

    Required Skills

    • High School degree or equivalent
    • 1+ years’ construction experience
    • Railroad, utility, or pipeline construction experience preferred.

    Required Experience

  • Qualifications
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
    • Strong knowledge of best practices for dashboards and BI reporting with emphasis in design and publishing
    • Experience in writing SQL queries and understanding Stored procedures and building tables/views
    • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS for deploying BI solutions
    • Experience with requirements gathering and understanding the needs of the end user
    • Expertise in the research, development, and support of data visualization techniques
    • Strong communication & presentation skills, particularly with internal clients, team leads, & managers.
    • Ability to thrive in an environment that requires flexibility and multi-tasking
    • Ability to take initiative and work with a high level of independence
