    CALIBRE Systems Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is looking for Facility Condition Assessors to support CALIBRE clients with small and large scale condition assessments.  Our Facility Condition Assessment personnel work individually and also as part of teams conducting condition-based assessments.  These positions can be performed via telework and travel to client facilities throughout the world.

    Qualified candidates must have detailed knowledge and experience in one or more building system components, as follows:  structural, mechanical systems, electrical systems, building interiors, roofing systems, and/or fire protection systems.  Must be proficient in identifying the different equipment and components of a building including sub-components; have knowledge and experience in identifying the condition of building components, and an understanding of the appropriate required corrective action when deficiencies and needed repairs are observed. 

    Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following:

    • Perform assessments of client facilities utilizing professional expertise and judgment to determine physical condition and conformance with building codes and relevant government and industry standards

    • Use a tablet-based computer system to identify and document building equipment and components and provide justification for determination of the physical condition

    • Utilize various computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) utilizing UNIFORMAT II asset data cataloging structure (systems vary, but for some of our clients this will be the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers Research Laboratory’s BUILDER™ Sustainment Management System; CALIBRE will provide BUILDER™ training for appropriate candidates)

    • Assess multiple buildings, structures, and components (e.g., fencing, parking lots, generators) within both small large complexes identifying major components and sub-components as well as supporting systems

    • Understand a project work plan and execute based on a client requirements

    • Ensure all data is properly collected, entered, and quality checked on a daily basis

    Required Skills

    • Perform individually or as a member of team of assessors in various locations within the United States and around the world for various CALIBRE clients
    • Abide by Federal, State, local, and site safety precautions
    • Ability to climb ladders and stairs and sustain moderate physical activity to include walking and standing
    • Self-starter, minimal management oversight

    Required Experience

    • Knowledge of one or more building system components, as follows:  structural, mechanical systems, electrical systems, building interiors, roofing systems, and/or fire protection systems
    • Minimum 3 years of experience conducting facility condition assessments
    • Knowledge of facility condition assessment web-­based software applications
    • Ability to enter data on a tablet accurately during site visits
    • Understanding of UNIFORMAT II asset data cataloging structure
    • Ability to travel 50% or more and work flexible hours
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
    • Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines

    Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field is ideal, but not required.  OTHER EDUCATION, INCLUDING TRADE SCHOOL, COMMENSURATE EXPERIENCE, AND DEMONSTRATED ABILITY OF THE CANDIDATE IS REQUIRED.
