Job Description
Experian’s Summer Internship Program is a unique opportunity for students across the country to gain hands-on work experience in our innovative global company. Cyber Threat Intelligence Intern will be responsible for:
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree program in Cyber Security/Intelligence, Threat Intelligence, Information Security or related degree
Be returning to school in the Fall of 2023 to complete degree program
Knowledge and skills related to Cyber Threat Intelligence, or Cyber Security, Information Security, Incident Response or Digital Forensics
Ability to work with raw data, information and finalized intelligence reporting from multiple information sources
Familiarity with, or working knowledge of, TIP (Threat Intelligence Platform), SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) (e.g., Splunk), SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response), and/or IPS (Intrusion Prevention Solution), WAF (Web App Firewall), and EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) tools
Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK® Tactics and Techniques (or Lockheed Martin Cyber Kill Chain® framework) and one or more cybersecurity industry standards: NIST Cybersecurity Framework, MITRE ATT&CK® Mitigations, CIS Critical Security Controls
Knowledge of, and familiarity with, cyber-attacks, to include to include data breaches, ransomware attacks, denial of service attacks, social engineering, web application attacks
Familiarity with the intelligence cycle, planning, collection, analysis, production, dissemination
Knowledge of the clear, deep, and dark web; familiarity with the world wide web and social media platforms
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Team player with the ability to work independently at times
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
