    Job Description

    About this role

    As an Intern of the Decision Analytics delivery team, you'll work as part of a team, helping Experian clients solving problems in areas such as:

    • Acquisition of new consumers and credit risk quantification;

    • Optimization of acquisition strategies by developing robust predictive models and deployment of such models in credit strategies;

    • Running various Business Intelligence studies and thereby helping clients to build a broader understanding of the competitive environment or new target consumer audience;

    • Interpret analysis results, identify trends and issues, and recommend alternatives to support business objectives;

    • Running data manipulations and development of advanced predictive models using programming languages (Python, SQL, SAS);

    • Independent validation of scoring models performance;

    • Perform exploratory data analysis to confirm data integrity and to derive appropriate analytical insights

    Your key external clients would be North American banks, credit unions, leasing companies, and other financial institutions, which operate with millions of consumers on the daily basis.

    During your internship, you will be also involved in Experian cross-functional projects related to the automation of internal processes and the development of new client products.

    As a result of the internship, you will learn:

    • The key mechanics of the retail lending market;

    • Risks and Issues which financial institutions are facing and how Experian help to solve these problems;

    • Key types of the predictive models used in retail lending and their architecture;

    • Modeling principles and modeling methodology;

    • How to work with big data sets and how to extract the value.

    Qualifications

    What your background looks like:

    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in a related field of study

    • Interns must be returning to school in the Fall of 2023 to complete degree program

    • Required fields of study include:

      • Mathematics

      • Statistics;

      • Computer science;

      • Programming languages: SQL, Python, SAS

    • Currently enrolled in a minimum of a (Bachelor’s/ Masters/Phd) degree program in (list degrees) or related degree

    • Be returning to school in the Fall of 2023 to complete degree program
