    Job Description

    Experian’s Summer Internship Program is a unique opportunity for students across the country to gain hands-on work experience in our innovative global company. Our interns work alongside Experian employees to tackle meaningful projects and gain valuable skills in their chosen field.     The Information Security Compliance Intern will work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders on projects such as information security compliance, risk assessment, business continuity/disaster recovery, data protection and privacy.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Assist with gathering and organizing documentation or answers in response to incoming risk assessments for multiple lines of business

    • Gain hands-on experience working with your team by evaluating risk assessments and evidence for possible inaccuracies, deficiencies, or policy deviations

    • Contribute to compliance program requirements throughout the division such as SOC 2, SIG

    • Create client-facing information security related or policy documentation

    • Assist with the Information Security policy refresh schedule

    • Work with and learn from teams across technical security, security operations, legal, infrastructure, marketing, risk, compliance, etc.

    Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled in a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree program in Cyber Security, Privacy, Marketing, Information Systems, Risk Management, Audit or related degree

    • Be returning to school in the Fall of 2023 to complete degree program

    • Knowledge in cybersecurity or information technology

    • Excellent communication and organizational skills 

    • Interest in learning or expanding knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27000 series, NIST Frameworks, and regulations such as SOC 2 compliance standard, COBIT, PCI, HIPAA, etc.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

    • Ability to work independently or in a team environment

    • Eager to work cross-functionally with Information Security, Product, IT, Legal, Infrastructure and operational teams toward the goal of driving security control implementation for the organization
