As a Corporate Communications Intern at IBM, you will create stories that cut through noise and have an impact on your audience. You'll collaborate with IBM experts and your peers to drive our business forward by inspiring key audiences.

Your Role and Responsibilities

START AND END DATES FOR THIS INTERNSHIP ARE DURING THE SUMMER 2022 (3 months)

IBM Corporate Communications is seeking individuals to join our exceptional team in New York City. You will work on a mix of team-based and individual projects focused on communications planning, media relations, employee communications, storytelling, digital media, social business, and more. Along the way, you will meet a wide range of IBM and industry leaders and learn about the endless opportunities that exist in our company and industry, build your Communications capabilities, and develop a strong community with other interns and IBMers.

At the end of the Summer, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your final outcomes to a large audience of leaders and practitioners across the organization. This is a highly visible intern program with leadership exposure and mentorship throughout the summer. What you'll do:

• Build communications plans to promote IBM's relevancy in conversations around social and technological change
• Help develop and write stories around client use cases, technology products and industry trends
• Develop assets that support storytelling to internal and external audiences
• Interview employees and other stakeholders for storytelling content
• Track coverage and metrics to show impact and results
• Provide support at internal and external events
• Work with peers and senior leaders to develop and present projects

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Currently Enrolled in an accredited University
• Available for an internship in Summer 2022
• Rising college Senior for 2022-2023 school year
• English: Fluent

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Strong writing skills and verbal communications skills
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Familiarity with video production, digital publishing platforms and workplace tools such as Excel and Powerpoint.
• Demonstrated interest in social media and familiarity with key social platforms
