We are seeking a highly motivated GRAPHICS ARTIST to join our team. The Graphics Artist will be responsible for leading the mission essential Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance team in support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Research Directorate.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
This position is with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's (NGA) NGA Research Directorate supports the NSG and National Security Strategy by solving hard defense and intelligence problems for the IC and DoD. NGA Research is organized into three technical offices: Foundational GEOINT; Advanced Phenomenologies; and Analytic Technologies. NGA Research delivers capabilities within these technical offices through pods, functionally organized to address specific technology needs and products. The NGA Research Mission Support Office supports the pods and technical offices. It includes Strategic Partnerships and Communications (SPC); Technology Transition, Transfer, and Protection (T3P); Program Planning and Execution (PPE); and the Research Lab Environment (RLE) teams. The Graphics Artist must have experience taking customer ideas and synthesizing a graphical design that meets their intent and vision with limited direction, and providing overall graphic design services for presentations, documents, speeches, logos, electronic media, and video products. Ability to coordinate and develop a working relationship with other agency corporate graphic offices. Familiar with products, such as PowerPoint presentation, multimedia, exhibits, and conference materials, and agency messaging and branding requirements and other posted standards on quality, format, and style.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Produce approximately 2000 graphic design products each year for the following types;
Publications. NGA on average completes approximately 4-6 publications over 20 pages annually. These can range from 21 pages to 200 pages. The remaining are typically under 20 pages. (10%)
Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, or Technical Writing and
15 year's experience working with technical projects and/or technical writing;
Senior-level (15 years) experience working and visualizing with technical projects and/or technical writing.
Exceptional communications skills, with a strong understanding of writing and briefing styles.
Strong skills with managing detailed problems and complex processes.
