    CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current and active TS/SCI clearance granted by the Department of Defense or an Intelligence Community agency. Must be able to pass a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

    We are seeking a highly motivated INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION SPECIALIST to join our team. The International Cooperation Specialist will be responsible for leading the mission-essential Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance team in support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Research Directorate.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    This position is with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's (NGA) NGA Research Directorate supports the NSG and National Security Strategy by solving hard defense and intelligence problems for the IC and DoD. NGA Research is organized into three technical offices: Foundational GEOINT; Advanced Phenomenologies; and Analytic Technologies. NGA Research delivers capabilities within these technical offices through pods, functionally organized to address specific technology needs and products. The NGA Research Mission Support Office supports the pods and technical offices. It includes Strategic Partnerships and Communications (SPC); Technology Transition, Transfer, and Protection (T3P); Program Planning and Execution (PPE); and the Research Lab Environment (RLE) teams. The International Cooperation Specialist must have knowledge and experience in International Affairs, understanding governance of Government to Government relationships. Familiarity with DoD and IC policies related to international cooperation, acquisition, disclosure & release, and technology transfer. Capability and experience in organization and logistical support to meetings and internal and external events. Capability to prepare, coordinate, route, and approve documents and reports. Ability to communicate and coordinate with other national program managers, scientists and project teams.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Strong knowledge of the international cooperation and armaments Developing DoD international agreements and supporting documents (e.g., Summary Statement of Intent (SSOI), Designated Disclosure Authority Letter (DDL))
    • Experience providing direct support to the Office of International Outreach and Policy and assist other component offices within USD R&E regarding international engagements
    • Experience providing a variety of support to virtual and in-person delegations and meetings with foreign dignitaries around science and technology related functions
    • Experience developing various pieces of collateral in support of IOP mission (e.g., background briefings, issue papers, decision papers, comprehensive meeting minutes, country reports, etc.)
    • 15 year's experience working with international projects
    • Exceptional communications skills, with a strong understanding of writing and briefing styles.
    • Strong skills with managing detailed problems and complex processes.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Master's degree or higher in International Relations, Foreign Affairs, Communications, Political Science, Information Science/Technology or closely related field.
    • Excellent command of spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
    • Strong attention to detail and an eye for consistency.
    • Extensive experience using a variety of software used to prepare correspondence, including Microsoft Office programs.
    • Demonstrated success working in fast-paced and challenging environments.
    • Familiar with corporate and government design communication etiquette.

    EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

    Requires a Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Foreign Affairs, Communications, Political Science, Information Science/Technology or closely related field.

    YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

    • 15+ years w/ Bachelor's degree
    • 13+ years w/ Master's degree

    POSITION TYPE: Full-Time
