    We are seeking a highly motivated SYSTEMS ENGINEER to join our team. Expert System Engineers are responsible for leading the development of program and project integration solutions across the enterprise and determining integration / interface requirements.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    Expert Systems Engineers in the 3D Modeling and Simulation realm assist in leading engineering teams in taking a multi-discipline approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG) and Federal Agencies to ensure timely and accurate GEOINT. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Provide expert technical advice to government technical and program leads. Lead meetings and review process boards to assist the government and contractor teams in meeting program requirements.
    • Provide subject matter expert-quality technical/operational support and guidance to the Government, including technical analysis and recommendations across potential architectures, proofs of concept, prototype development, and requirements development based on user engagement and feedback.
    • Support transition efforts to effectively deliver operations-ready capabilities as well as knowledge transfer to transition team. Transition support shall include coordination of site deliveries and installations, guidance, and oversight of developer deliveries; and support to cross-tower, interagency, and inter-department transition engagements.
    • Provide unbiased technical review of SOWs and Product Change Requests for new requirements and assist the project PM/COTR in the evaluation of contractor proposals as directed.
    • Assist in the development of technical performance measurements in coordination with external Government and Industry partners.
    • Develop technical engineering execution plans, processes, and program related items for Foundation GEOINT and FG3D including the NGA platforms to effectively monitor program performance.
    • Provide expert advice to the Government in the areas of relating vision, strategy, plans, needs, requirements, and process and capability developments.
    • Perform the full lifecycle of engineering support including but not limited to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability analysis, resiliency analysis, development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability analysis, and decommissioning.
    • Provide engineering support for requirements across the NSG and ASG.
    • Lead the planning, documenting, analysis, and traceability of user requirements and architectures.
    • Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
    • Assist the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.
    • Support RFP development and generate engineering documentation for RFPs.
    • Provide proposal evaluation support as requested by the government.
    • Provide architectural support.
    • Identify industry and NGA standards and create IPF unique standards for open architecture, service centric architecture, service-oriented architecture, and cloud architecture for inclusion in IPF RFPs, existing contracts, and government development efforts.
    • Brief assigned activities as required.
    • Work cross project with other IPF projects to facilitate transition from concept to development to sustainment to decommissioning.
    • Work across NGA, NSG, and ASG partners to include but not limited to NGA/IPF, NGA/SF, NGA/R, NGA/TD, NGA/TA, DoD, FAA, and foreign partners, to provide engineering support to advance the Foundation GEOINT mission.
    • Support IPF Leadership priorities and guidance

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Expert-level demonstrated experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments, and 3D Modeling and Simulation.
    • Expert-level demonstrated systems engineering experience with 3D content generation, communication, user interactions and multiple physics engines and platforms applications such as Unity, Unreal, OpenFlight, and VBS.
    • Ten years of demonstrated experience with cloud-based technologies, structured and unstructured Big Data, Automation, Artificial Intelligence and Automation (AAA) technologies and the deployment of tools within cloud-based environments for optimization.
    • Expert-level demonstrated experience with Open Geospatial Consortium Standard Common DataBase (CDB).
    • Two of the following: Four years of demonstrated experience with OGC Geopackage; three years of demonstrated experience with OGC CDB; two years of demonstrated experience with OGC Indoor GML; and one year of demonstrated experience with OGC 3D Tiles.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Doctorate degree in Systems Engineering or in a related hard science STEM field such as, engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems, or Geodetic Sciences or in project management or engineering management.
    • Nine years of demonstrated experience with DevOps processes and tools including JIRA, Confluence and Jenkins
    • Ten years of demonstrated experience with MBSE processes, tools and languages.
    • Expert-level demonstrated experience with the NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
    • Certified as a Program/Project Management Professional, DAWIA certification (level 3) in IT, PM, SPRDE, or Test, or certified Scaled Agile Framework Agilist.

    EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

    Master's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree
