    LOCATION: Warrenton, VA

    CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current and active TS/SCI clearance granted by the Department of Defense or an Intelligence Community agency. Must be able to pass a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

    We are seeking a highly motivated NETWORK ENGINEER to join our team providing critical mission support to our customer in the Warrenton, Virginia area. The successful candidate will have experience developing technologies to function in an existing infrastructure, producing artifacts, functioning as part of a project team, and working with implementation and sustainment engineers. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Performing as senior-level contributor with knowledge and experience in local and wide area networking, communications, and related software/hardware within a multi-platform operating environment.
    • Analyzing and developing new hardware requirements and preparing specifications for hardware acquisitions.
    • Providing recommendations and conducting research for new technologies, future concepts, and analysis for implementation.
    • Deployable Solutions (Mobile & Transportable) design integration.
    • Interoperability of systems and services with mission partners.
    • Virtualization, Software Defined Networking (SDN) design integration.
    • Reviewing site design packages from the Site Design team for technical accuracy.
    • Researching and recommending to the Configuration Management (CM) Boards new or replacement models of hardware or software to support the engineering roadmap.
    • Providing information to the Life Cycle team for hardware that is reaching end of sale or support.
    • Coordinating with the information assurance security engineers, validating all designs against required security controls to maintain the Authority to Operate of each enclave.
    • Creating, reviewing, and updating technical documentation in support of Integration projects.
    • Providing full implementation documentation and templates for all phases of deployment and sustainment of network equipment and services.
    • Providing engineering support to a network operations center and implementation and sustainment teams as needed.
    • Identifying and diagnosing complex performance, security, and technical issues.
    • Developing and implementing solutions across a wide range of technologies.
    • Implementing and maintaining DISA STIG requirements.
    • Providing support to a wide array of customers as part of a complex team of multiple contractors and government personnel.
    • Staying current on most technological developments and applications and helping to evaluate vendor products to make recommendations for purchase.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Computer Science or a related field), and seven to nine years of relevant experience.
    • IAT II: Security+ certification or equivalent
    • CCNA Routing & Switching certification
    • Ability to travel up to 25%.
    • Must be a team player and able to work in a fast paced rapidly changing environment.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Familiarity with datacenter infrastructure and experience with Cisco routers (Cisco ISR, ASR series) and switches including but not limited to: 35xx, 37xx, 38xx, 45xx,65xx, Nexus 9xxx,7xxx, 6xxx, 5xxx, 2xxx & 1xxx series. • Hands-on experience with the implementation and use of network monitoring, fault management and performance analysis tools, such as Syslog, SNMP, What's UpGold, Solar winds, and Scrutinizer. • Experience with encryption devices including but not limited to KG175, KG250, KG250xs.

    EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and seven (7) to nine (9) years of related experience. 

    YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

    • 11+ years w/ High School Diploma
    • 7+ years w/ Bachelor's Degree

    POSITION TYPE: Full-Time
