WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
The Associate BDM in the GES Strategic Initiative and Operations organization will be focused on leading distributed teams to deliver complex project(s) that may span across the globe and/or one or more business units. Manage resources, schedules, financials and adhere to required project management governance and controls. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. This role may also contribute to process improvement initiatives.
We are looking for self-motivated and driven candidates with strong written and verbal communication skills, must be self-directed, and proven experience in a leadership role, as he/she will be responsible for the day-to-day project activities of the designated project team.
The role supports Global Enterprise Sales with regard to presentation development, proposal response, pricing, service scoping, financial analysis, process analysis, and contract review / negotiation. In addition to supporting specific deals with the sales organization, Business Development members are instrumental in the generation and implementation of new sales, technology and service offerings and the content used to enhance the overall WWT offering.
Qualified candidates will join a team of business development managers and associates to assist in driving sales and strategic intiatives, supporting operational efforts, building impact analyses, and business cases.
The WWT business development team plays an instrumental role in driving overall profitability and continued growth of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages one or more complex projects that span multiple time zones and/or or multiple lines of business within the organization
Provide leadership ability with project teams to build and motivate team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities
Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
Prepare a detailed project plan for all phases of the project
Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetings
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating to leadership as needed
Understands and manages interdependencies across projects or workstreams managed by other project managers
Manage project scope and changes
Manage all aspects of project from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
Set and continually manage project expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
Ensure that projects are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards
Manage project issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline
Support Business Development Managers on larger initiatives and programs
Support & provide on-going sales training
Develop and manage sales tools
Data analysis (program, company, trending, spend, other as needed)
Build and present financial business cases
Builds relationships across the organization
