ASSOCIATE IAM ENGINEER
Description:
World Wide Technology, Inc. is currently seeking an Associate Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer to join their team in St. Louis, MO. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience working within a technical role in a corporate setting. The ideal candidate should be excited to work with other teams from a wide range of fields to solve complicated user access and provisioning problems and be generally excited to learn new things.
The IAM team is responsible for building and maintaining scalable platforms for managing identities and administering access to corporate resources. The team uses a combination of vendor solutions and custom software to build a seamless experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand the architecture of the IAM environment and make recommendations and changes that enhance the platforms
Work with other IT teams to implement federation and user management services to meet the needs of their specific applications
Work with project teams as required to design technical solutions to address project requirements
Work with the broader security team to understand company policies and implement technical controls to enforce those policies and meet compliance requirements
Work within the Identity Management development framework to create and maintain user provisioning capabilities
Perform daily engineering tasks such as installing new software and patching / upgrading existing software
Troubleshoot functional and technical incidents occurring within IAM systems
Perform root cause analysis of incidents and service requests; recommend and implement long term solutions to avoid repeatable work
Provide high-availability support for platforms ensuring uptime
Maintain technical documentation that supports the platforms
Perform daily engineering tasks such as installing new software and patching / upgrading existing software
Troubleshoot functional and technical incidents occurring within IAM systems
Perform root cause analysis of incidents and service requests; recommend and implement long term solutions to avoid repeatable work
Provide high-availability support for platforms ensuring uptime
Maintain technical documentation that supports the platforms
QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years of experience working within a system administration / engineering centric role
General knowledge of IAM concepts such as SSO, LDAP and SAML
Experience with user provisioning / de-provisioning processes in a corporate environment
Basic Linux and Windows Server OS skill set
Experience with Active Directory, Okta, Delinea and F5 LTM/APM is a plus
Proven problem-solving, change management and technical planning skills
Demonstrated knowledge or interest in information security principles, especially within the IAM space
Strong customer service skills
Comfortable working well in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
