What you’ll be doing...
As a leader on the NBx (Next Best Decisioning) Performance team, you will ensure that analytics drive continuous business improvements, bringing more profitable growth and an even better customer experience. Your end goal is to define the measure of success for an AI algorithm and provide the business with those KPIs to drive strategic and tactical decision making across the organization.
Responsibilities include:
Developing rigorous requirements and definitions for KPIs, metrics, and attributes, accounting for end-user needs, granularity, edge cases, holdout measurement, and future extensibility.
Working as a SME in your domains and a source of knowledge for other NBx Performance team members.
Engaging with stakeholder teams to clearly define the business objectives and success measures of the program.
Developing prototype visualizations.
Partnering with resources from GTS and AI&D technology teams to groom the business reporting requirements into technical development requirements, taking ownership of the end product and driving to hit timelines.
Where there are potential hurdles or blockers, you will bring together the appropriate teams and partner towards a resolution, flexibly swapping hats as needed.
Validating the output of delivered reporting, ensuring data integrity, diving deep into back-end data where needed, and capturing/submitting any defects identified.
Presenting the completed reporting output back to the business stakeholder for user acceptance.
Productionizing ad-hoc data requests and exploratory analyses executed elsewhere on the NBx Performance team that have exceeded the usefulness/reusability threshold.
What we’re looking for…

You proactively research emerging developments in data mining, analytics, and visualization and apply what you learn to the projects at hand. You are a good listener, a strong communicator, and an accomplished storyteller, able to summarize and frame requirements to peers, stakeholders, and partner groups. You take great pleasure in sharing learnings and best practices with your team.

Experience monitoring performance and reporting ongoing and ad hoc metrics in reports, presentations, and dashboards targeted to the situation and audience.
Even better if you have:

Performing advanced analytics, modeling and data mining to develop insights on our business.
Strong problem solving, analytical, and research capabilities.
Strong verbal and written communication and storytelling skills.
If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
