    What you'll be doing...

As a Vendor Management Consultant you will partner with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors/partners for the Verizon Business Group. In this role, you will drive key relationships and manage process tasks, ensuring strict adherence to Verizon policies within the Product & Programs team in Strategic Vendor Governance. Your governance efforts will support the timely and accurate delivery of products and services to our clients, including some of the world's largest enterprises.

If you thrive in fast-paced environments, excel at cross-functional collaboration, and possess a proactive approach to meeting deadlines, we want to hear from you. Ideal candidates are energized by team growth and are flexible enough to pivot between vendor management and program support as needed.

    • Ensuring compliance of contractual obligations with vendors/customers within Verizon policies and guidelines.
    • Developing supplier strategies for key new and current vendors.
    • Engaging, responding to and resolving issues and escalations related to vendor activities, including corrective action plans as needed.
    • Managing the vendor engagement process for third party requests from start to finish for validation of alignment to Verizon policies and processes.
    • Identifying metrics, measuring performance, and making recommendations for continuous improvement in vendor engagement.
    • Reviewing and analyzing data from within supported Verizon organizations (i.e., Public Sector, Product, Sourcing and Professional Services) and project teams.
    • Reporting and analysis of vendor engagements, financial impact, projects, and ad hoc reports to identify areas of opportunity for savings and engagement support.
    • Directing and influencing internal teams on Verizon processes and policies to maximize opportunities and minimize error or potential issues.
    • Managing software vendor true-up processes, ensuring financial accuracy and adherence to contract terms.
    • Managing vendor credits & rebates, tracking claims, payments and identifying and resolving disputes and identifying business process issues that may impact our performance.
    • Collaborating with the Programs team within SVG to support Partner Programs, tracking, analyzing, reporting and AI automation of vendor program activities within the Cisco 360 program.

    What we're looking for...

    You'll need to have:

    • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
    • Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
    • Experience in analysis, reporting and presentation of operational / financial data.
    • Experience in building trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Experience using AI to automate and streamline processes.

    Even better if you have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
    • Knowledge of general and IT contracting language.
    • Experience managing vendor engagements.
    • Proven experience managing escalations.
    • Experience managing efforts in a government contracting environment.
    • Knowledge of trends and marketing/media tools related to driving deep engagement with various vendor contracts.
    • Experience of working on Cisco or HPE, either from a Vendor Programs, Governance or Order Management perspective.

If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
