Job Details: Job Summary: While seeking a degree in electrical engineering, supports the analysis, design, modification of electronic systems for designated products and/or customer applications.nbsp; This position typically works under close supervision and direction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Perform DMSMS / Obsolescence Risk Mitigation, GIDEP and Alerts monitoring, BOM analysis, Parts Standardization, Parts Selection * Ensures all GIDEP and other alert notices are reviewed for impact and resolved * Guides design engineers in the selection of known good parts and manufacturers * Searches for alternate parts or suppliers to high risk parts * Maintains IHS component tool subscriptions * Identifies prohibited or hazardous material content in parts * Presents and DMSMS and Alerts impact reports to stakeholders * Creates and/or checks new part screening/qualification drawings and revisions * Change Control Board and Parts Materials and Processes Control Board membernbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; * Proactively assesses BOMs for obsolescence * Recommended alternates to end of life, single source and high-risk parts * Establish and track obsolescence timelines, cost, inventories and forecast usage * Conduct EOL Management Team meetings to collect pertinent data, initiate actions and track status to ultimately resolve issues. Minimum Requirements: This is a cleared site, all candidates must hold U.S. Citizenship. Enrolled in at least the second year of a Bachelor of Science degree program in engineering, computer science or other related technical discipline.nbsp; Effective written and oral communication skills.nbsp; Ability to use typical office automation products such as word processing and spreadsheets.nbsp; Must be able to work in a lab environment and be able to use a computer.
