Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Data Warehouse Analyst, Advancedfor our client located in Tallahassee, FL.
This position is onsite in Tallahassee, FL, and requires in-person availability starting day 1.
Job Overview:
- Responsible for gathering and assessing business information needs and preparing system requirements.
- Performs analyses, development, and evaluation of data mining in the Snowflake cloud data warehouse environment, which includes data design, database architecture, and data management utilizing Informatica PowerCenter, Intelligent Data Quality, and Enterprise Data Catalog.
- Uses data mining and data analysis tools, including Power BI and Tableau.
- Reviews and validates data loaded into the data warehouse for accuracy.
- Interacts with the user community to produce reporting requirements.
- Provides technical consulting to users of the various data stores and advises users on conflicts and inappropriate data usage.
- Responsible for prototyping solutions, building solutions, preparing test scripts, and conducting tests for Snowflake data population, including data replication, extraction, loading, cleansing, and transforming the data.
- Responsible for enterprise data modeling.
- Maintains knowledge of software tools, languages, scripts, and shells that effectively support the Snowflake cloud data warehouse environment.
- Strong Data Integration and Data Warehousing experience with Informatica IDMC tools (IDMC tools like IDMC CDI, MI, CAI, etc..)
- Strong Experience with Data Integration tasks like extraction, transformation, and load (ETL or ELT) tasks
- Experience administering IDMC platform, Secure Agent Infrastructure, and Snowflake Data Cloud platform for statewide adoption
- Knowledge of and skill in relational database platforms, including DB2, SQL Server, Snowflake,a nd Oracle
- Analyzes transactional data stores and develops data warehouse models to optimize the warehouse for reporting and analytics.
- Experience with Red Hat Linux application administration, such as security patching applications, managing disk filesystems, managing wrapper and auto-startup scripts.
- Strong Experience with IDMC Connectors to perform Change Data Capture solutions, such as PowerExchange, and other widely used connectors, including relational, ServiceNow, etc.
- Assists with the development and maintenance of methods and practices documentation.
- Experience with IBM Mainframes, COBOL, JCL, and DB2 analysis.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of IT work experience utilizing data management tools, business intelligence tools, and data warehousing. Extensive experience with Informatica PowerCenter and Snowflake is preferred.
- Experience designing data models for Business Intelligence tools like Power BI and Cognos.
- Experience with Informatica on-premises products like PowerCenter and Data Quality.
- Strong development experience with Snowflake Data Cloud
- Prototypes, builds, and tests Power BI and Cognos reports/dashboards.
- Experience with IDMC Cloud Administration and Snowflake Data Cloud Administration.
- Ensures data warehouse metadata is collected and maintained.
- Experience with Informatica IDMC Cloud Performance Tuning
- Experience with Snowflake Data Cloud Performance Tuning
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
