JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Leidos Hosting Services Automation team is seeking a DBA  intern. This individual will work with Oracle and MS-SQL administrations  to reduce manual effort, improve the quality of our services, and increase our velocity by documenting and developing automation to replace inefficient processes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the DBA  team with the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure deployment and configuration management of Oracle and  within Hosting Services.  Help design and develop new automations that reduce and eliminate inefficient processes.  This position will allow the intern to work remotely.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited educational institution.

• Experience with scripting languages such as T-SQL and PowerShell.

• Basic understanding of MS-SQL, Oracle and Ansible.

• Experience with version control using GitLab, or GitHub.

• Basic knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment concepts.

• Ability to telecommute.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3.0 GPA

• Previous experience with software or infrastructure development in a public or private cloud setting.

• Experience working as a member of a remote team.

PAY RANGE:

• $44,200.00 - $68,000.00 - $91,800.00
