What You’ll Achieve

Dell Technologies Services (DT Services) is currently looking for interns in the field of Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences to work on root cause identification of warranty related product failures on personal computing devices and the eco-system around them. As an intern at Dell, you will learn more about the architecture and definition of computing devices and solutions and will partner with product technologists, serviceability engineers, product test engineers, product quality engineers, industrial designers, service technicians, and software engineers.  

You will

• Design and define system requirements for complex customer systems, and/or prepare studies and analyzes existing systems.
• Determine system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
• Coordinate design of subsystems and/or the integration of total systems or multiple functions.
• Responsible for design of assigned system/subsystem and meeting quality requirements.
• Ensures the manufacturability, reliability and serviceability of designs.
• Identifies, analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions.
• Responsible for benchmarking, testing and analysis on products during all phases of the development process.
• Documents results in technical reports, white papers and online web pages.
• Ensures assignments are completed within schedule and cost objectives.
• Responsible for the end-to-end ownership of assigned system(s).
• Coordinates root cause analysis to solve issues including complex issues.
• Interfaces with technologists, development and marketing to define and optimize system performance and resolve performance problems.

Essential Requirements

• Pursuing a Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering
• Understanding of appropriate system architectures.
• Understanding of hardware and software interactions, and able to apply this understanding to resolve issues.
• Understanding of appropriate technologies, vendor products and competitor's offerings,
• Able to easily achieve mastery of new tools, languages and operating systems.
• Ability to analyze options for critical design elements and features and determines optimum selection.
