As a DevOps Engineer Intern with Rocket Software, you are part of a global, fast-paced IT organization with a primary mission to provide world class service to software development labs and internal departments ensuring our employees have access and communications system to perform at the highest level.

The successful candidate will be tasked with the development of new tools or enhancing existing tools that will be used by our engineers. The tools and processes you build cover areas such as service delivery automation, capacity management, code deployment and environment management.

Desired Qualifications:

• Completing undergraduate degree program in Computer Science or related subject
• Strong knowledge of Python scripting language
• Experience with Git and software configuration management practices
• Experience with Ansible or related automation tools
• Familiarity with working in Linux/Unix/Windows environments
• Familiarity with REST services
• Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with other professionals, including software developers, systems engineers and product management

Required Skills

• Cloud application deployment and monitoring
• Familiarity with one or more AWS SDKs a plus
