  • Responsibilities

    Acxiom is looking for a Director of Revenue Accounting that will manage the development, implementation and/or maintenance of one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, Cash Flows, etc. in accordance with GAAP. This associate will oversee and design revenue recognition practices often initiating cross functional communication to ensure legal contracts align with revenue recognition timing in accordance with GAAP. In addition, they will also design operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency, ensure integration of data produced into systems and supports objectives of financial analysts as well as the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data and revenue. The Director of Revenue Accounting will participate in annual audits and special projects, work with external consultants or auditors to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping for historical purposes and also select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

    • SCOPE: Participates with other senior managers to establish plans and objectives. Provides guidance to subordinates within established company policies. Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s). Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures effective achievement of objectives.
    • COMPLEXITY: Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends and other issues which require in-depth technical knowledge. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs and people. Acts as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve problems. Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities.
    • DISCRETION: Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will have a serious impact on the overall success of functional, division and or company operations.
    • INTERACTION: Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company. Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team. Interactions frequently involve special skills such as attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
    • SUPERVISION: May manage through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing. Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area and has overall control of recommending and implementing changes to methods.
  • Qualifications

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

    • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field
    • 3-5 years of experience with Revenue Accounting
    • Experience supervising a team (including hire/fire/compensation management)
    • Strong multi-tasking and communication skills

    WHAT WILL SET YOU APART:
