    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Leidos is seeking a ESG Data Intern in Reston, VA.

    Leidos has an intern opportunity in Reston, Va. for an ESG Intern. The successful candidate will support a multi-faceted team that manages key ESG priorities and supports various corporate responsibility campaigns. Intern will be given responsibilities that will assist their learning and experience in data gathering/management/reporting and practical aspects of sustainability in a large and complex organization. The candidate will need strong organizational and project management skills with a keen attention to detail and an interest in learning more about ESG. A hybrid role is a possibility for the right candidate.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Partner with Subject Matter Experts to collect ESG data

    • Assist in providing secretariat services to the Sustainability Working Group, including preparing reports and other documents for meetings and researching relevant information and presenting data using Excel and Power Point, among other software

    • Support ESG reporting – track best practices, gather info, and draft preliminary content

    • Support campaigns including around employee volunteerism and green teams

    • Help draft content for internal audiences and talking points for external use

    • Research on key ESG issues including climate policy regulations, best practices in charitable giving, and more

    • Other duties per needs of team and intern interests

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Business Administration, or similar degree/program.

    • Rising Junior or Senior or first year graduate student.

    • Passion for sustainability issues and a desire to gain practical knowledge of sustainability efforts.

    • Proficient in MS Office 365 applications (Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Outlook, Teams).

    • Complete tasks individually and as a team participant.

    • Strong desire and ability to keep organized.

    • Candidate should be available 30-40 hours per week.  Hours can vary based on workload and academic schedule.

    • Experience with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) / sustainability reporting standards such as GRI, CDP, TCR, etc.

    • Experience in corporate social responsibility, sustainability, philanthropy, and/or employee volunteerism.

    • Keen attention to detail.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 3.0 GPA.

    • Advanced in Excel including data modeling

    • Experience with Sharepoint

    • Authorization to work permanently or green card in the U.S

    PAY RANGE:

    • $36,400.00 - $56,000.00 - $75,600.00
