    What you’ll be doing…

    As an Employee Relations-Manager, you will serve as a primary point of contact responding to internal workplace complaints and escalations. For each case, conduct an internal investigation including interviewing relevant parties, gathering documentation, and articulating the findings. Provide subject matter expertise to leadership on employee relations, investigations, and employment practices. Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for an assigned client group for complex employee relations matters.

    • Ensuring appropriate calibration of disciplinary action for all Code of Conduct violations.

    • Becoming a trusted subject matter expert on complex employee relations matters, including diagnosing problems, negotiating workable solutions, and providing a verbal or written report of fact findings to all levels of leadership.

    • Building and establishing relationships with HRBPs and business leaders at various levels.

    • Developing, planning, and communicating updates on ER processes, policies, tools, and resources.

    • Focusing on elevating ER capabilities and people leaders across the business.

    • Managing cases and ensuring timely response and the advancement towards resolution.

    • Managing complex, escalated, or sensitive cases in partnership with Ethics and/or Legal Compliance.

    In this hybrid role, you may sit out of any Verizon hub office location in the continental US.

    What we are looking for…

    You’ll need to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

    • Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

    • Recent experience in an HRBP, PEP, or an ER role.

    • Experience investigating employee complaints and managing matters of employee relations.

    • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

    Even better if you have one or more of the following:

    • A degree or substantial coursework in HR, I/O Psychology, MBA, or JD.

    • Knowledge of labor relations or experience working with a union-represented employee population.

    • Ability to influence through relationships.

    • Interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to facilitate collaborative solutions to multi-disciplinary problems.

    • Strong presentation skills, including verbal and written communication skills.

    • Knowledge of Title VII (including ADA, ADEA) and other federal, state, and local employment laws.

    Where you’ll be working

    In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

    The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

    The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $89,000.00 - $170,000.00.
