    Your Role and Responsibilities

    IBM Security Operations Center (SOC) is seeking a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Analyst; an individual contributor to work within the IBM Atlanta SOC. The SIEM Analyst will be responsible for providing IT security services to clients within the IBM Security Services (ISS) Managed Security Services (MSS) organization. This includes the use of inter-operational processes and procedures working with senior analysts, delivering high quality technical solutions to clients in response to security requirements. In this role you will perform multiple assigned technical tasks including monitoring, research, and analysis of the security solutions. You will need to have have network security product, technology, threat, vulnerability and MSS offering specialized skills. You will monitor client security systems and events to detect and investigate threats, and work regularly with client teams to enhance current solutions to improve client security posture. This will include using tools and methods to analyze the customized client solutions.

    You must have enhanced professional, operational and inter-personal skills to function effectively in collaborative high stake and high stress situations with clients. You must possess skills that include demonstrated networking, security technology experience and demonstrated understanding of security best practices. In this role you will have need to have written and oral communication skills, you must be detail oriented, customer focused and willing to work in a 24/7 shift environment.

    Required Technical and Professional Expertise

    You are required to have at least 6 months to 1 year experience in the following:

    • Applying problem solving techniques.
    • Analyzing or performing technical troubleshooting in network security solutions.
    • Understanding firewall solutions and device Applicability.
