Advanced Systems Design is seeking an Epidemiologist Analyst for our client located in Tallahassee, FL.
This position is onsite in Tallahassee, FL, and requires in-person availability starting day 1.
Job Overview:
- As directed by the Department review electronic cases to obtain true positive and true negative data.
- Adhere to best software engineering principles while performing services under this SOW.
- As directed at the Department, attend all meetings that may be required to help with the analysis.
- As directed by the Department, analyze all current and historical data to improve outcomes.
- Develop, manage, and curate databases for the analysis for adjusting and verifying cut-off values as specified by the Department.
- As directed by the Department, identify, implement, and maintain data quality control and management in accordance with the requirements of College of American pathologists.
- Create a monthly status report addressing ongoing quality control and management programs and submit it with the corresponding invoice.
- Identify trainings as needed and submit the identified training(s) to the Contract Manager for the Department to review and approve. Upon approval by the Department, attend the approved training.
- As directed by the Department, attend training courses.
- As directed by the Department, create a follow-up report of the training received and submit it within seven business days of completion of the training to the Department Contract Manager.
- At the direction of the Department, perform any additional task to support the newborn screening laboratory.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of One year using standard analysis.
- A minimum of six months with the state newborn screening program.
- A minimum of two years with Microsoft office suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- A minimum of One year performing exploration data analysis as it pertains to state Newborn Screening Samples.
- A minimum of six months engaging with, and producing reports for stakeholders, including hospitals, laboratories, and follow-up.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field working towards a master’s in public health.
