Our Supply Chain team within Materials and Purchasing drives the development, implementation and management of supply chain operations and suppliers in the delivery of strategic programs. It’s all about managing supplier relationships and ensuring the availability of parts and services in the supply chain, while maintaining inventory at acceptable levels. We focus our resources on the continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes and establishing key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning and forecasting.

    Our Global Supplier Quality Engineering team is seeking Undergraduate Engineering Co-Ops for our 2024 Co-Op program.

    You will:

    In this role, you will be responsible for hardware/firmware performance evaluation and characterization of various integrated platforms. This position requires extensive time in a lab environment. You will develop test plans with direction from GSQE Engineering and ensure execution. This role requires hands-on testing and complex application problem solving skills. Some duties and responsibilities include:

    • Solve problems: Understand a business challenge or opportunity and develop automation and analytics solutions
    • Analyze business processes & develop automation & solutions: Deliver time savings or eliminate transactional tasks to allow end users to spend more time on strategic activities
    • Demonstrate expertise in analysis, business process improvement, and cross functional communications skills
    • Lead or support projects: Gather requirements, document as is and to be process flows, identify and communicate project scope, develop or test solutions, document and deploy solutions
    • Demonstrate Initiative: A curious self-starter who can figure out the next step and take the initiative to execute when appropriate
    • Be a team player: Work on cross-functional teams using Agile methodology
    • Communicate effectively (strong verbal and written English skills required): Ensure understanding of business processes and user requirements and be able to translate them to technical developers

    Essential Requirements:

    • Pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and/or Computer Science or applicable field
    • Able to effectively work with all levels of the organization and in a team environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong proficiency in electrical engineering principles and software knowledge
    • Support appropriate hardware qualification groups
    • Ability to commute to and from Franklin, MA, and work remotely

    Desirable Requirements:

    • Minimum 3.0 GPA
    • Knowledge of Server technology
    • Proficiency in data analysis and report-writing tools

    Compensation

    Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this position is $16.70 - $25.30 depending on location.
